I wanted this for my Christmas card

But then I remembered that I had three kids. You know, instead of just this one.

So I didn't use this card.

But still....

It would have been good.

School pictures

School pictures just get more and more expensive, ya know? This year's price increase was the breaking point - I decided to take them myself (actually, I let Jenny talk me into taking them myself - she's the best). I even ordered prints and wallets and the whole thing. I guess we won't get a class picture, but I can live with that.

And hey, what do you NOT get with the chicken man's school pictures?

Oh my!

Three months already?

At three months, baby:
- weighs 15 pounds
- has graduated to bigger size of clothes, rendering another entire wardrobe useless
- eats and eats and eats
- can hold his head up all he wants
- still is not in love with Tummy Time
- likes to be tickled
- will laugh at stupid noises that no self-respecting adult should make... but we will do absolutely anything to get any smile or giggle out of him. Something is funny only three times though and then the would-be comedian needs to gather new material.
- loves to bite and suck and slobber and chew his wee dimpled fingers

Oh... the fingers. They're in his mouth every waking moment. In fact, he's almost given up the binky in favor of those succulent little digits. After a while, sucking on the fingers makes him think that a snack would sure go down nicely. Then he's hungry again. Even in his sleep, if you see his hands inching towards his mouth, you know he's only minutes away from waking himself up.

And food will be the first thing on his mind.

Random pictures

Being the parents of three entire children still kind of freaks me out. We are starting to have a fairly substantial herd.

Pictures that Jackie took of my sweet little guy.

More senior pictures

After editing this set of pictures, I wanted to tell Taylor that I was tired of looking at his face. But... that was a lie. Seriously, the kid is pretty dang handsome.

And apparently the good-looking genes run pretty strong in this family because he also has a completely beautiful sister.

Senior pictures

Decreased mobility plus a definite upswing in laziness has really put a dent in the time and energy I can put into photography. However I've done a limited number of shoots and this is a recent set of senior pictures. Isn't she totally gorgeous?

Pictures with Santa

If you live in the Utah County area and are looking for a low-key and inexpensive (like, not the crazy mob-scene at the mall) way to get your kids' pictures taken with Santa, come and visit me at Pro Digital Photos on Saturday, December 12!

I'm excited to see you there!

Fuentes Pictures

If you're thinking 'wow, there have been lots of pictures this week'... you'd be right! We got lots of great pictures of this totally fun family and I had lots to share.

Remember these little heartbreakers from last year? If anything they're more gorgeous now.

And now they've added another beautiful girl to their collection.

Duffin family pictures

Last week was crazy-busy with pictures, so you get to look at a lot! After the cold cold weather of mid-October, I was worried that picture-season had come to a close - but then we had another beautiful and warm week. This family had great energy and they were just awesome to work with.

The kids were so cute and fun to work with. They were silly and loved to run around but they pretty much did everything I asked them to.

There were so many from this shoot that I loved... sorry!

Look at those lovely blue eyes!

Baby Milo pictures

Sweet little Milo is the new baby boy of my good friend Jessica. It's lucky she dedicated an entire afternoon to photographs, because little Milo was so determined to be awake that it took a while to get him resigned to the idea of taking pictures. I think this is the only sleeping picture we were able to get.

He was awake the the rest of the time but fairly agreeable. Milo's daddy had a special blanket from when he was little - we wrapped Milo up in 'Lankie' for some of the pictures.

And then when Nate was on his mission, he had another special well-loved blanket, 'Mission Lankie'.

Thanks baby Milo, you are so precious and adorable!
